WattHub brought multiple parties together including EPC to Finance on this project. 256kW Charter School in Peoria has been benefiting from a Solar Service Agreement since 2016. Mostly solar carports with added valuable shade makes this small solar install a great project. SunRenu Solar was the Developer and EPC, and this project was one of the last projects with a local Utility incentive attached to it.
A combined 3 site solar project with the Police, Town Hall, and Fire Department was awarded through competitive bid process in 2015. WattHub assisted in bringing a financing partner to the SunRenu awarded project. This financial partner traditionally provides leases, however through education and our suite of vetted documents, Solar Service Agreements were signed with the Town. The production of this 150kW combined solar system had not degraded in the 4 years of operation. The build was solar canopies, sawtooth design, for the Police and Town Hall, and rooftop for the Fire Station. The savings for the Town started at 30% per kWh, net of SSA payment, and has grown since.
